Meet MOLLY

I am a Pacific Northwest Artist who discovered clay while working as a molecular biologist at UW. I took my first ceramic class long after college and was immediately captivated by it. Thereafter, I found myself in the clay studio with every free moment I had. It quickly became clear, art was more in alignment with what I wanted in my life. I decided to pursue ceramics full-time in 1996. I am fortunate to be able to run a program and teach ceramics for over sixteen years. Opening a kiln after a glaze firing still thrills me!

I show and sell my work online, at The Columbia City Gallery in Seattle, Gallery One in Ellensburg, WA, and The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture in Spokane, WA. I participate in the yearly Seward Park Clay Studio Holiday show, in Seattle, and have been an invited guest artist at Capers in West Seattle. I love to paint and use my ceramic as a canvas to explore color, design, mark making and texture. Growing up close to the ocean, as well as years in science field, has greatly influenced my signature design elements. I frequently draw upon those memories to create new patterns and shapes.
